Robert Half International Accounts Receivable Clerk in HONOLULU, Hawaii


Accountemps is seeking an experienced, organized Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to further the efforts of a successful Real Estate Property/Facilities Management company. In this position, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. You will be processing accounts receivable, handling a high volume of invoices per week, with high attention to detail. This is a long-term temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Honolulu, Hawaii area.

Major responsibilities of Accounts Receivable Clerk

  • Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

  • Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers

  • Confirm documents and codes

  • Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers

  • Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks

  • Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

  • Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP

  • Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • ERP system experience

  • Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

  • Proven knowledge of billing

  • Daily Cash Receipts experience preferred

  • Foundational knowledge in cash posting

  • General familiarity with Credit Memo

  • Cash reconciliations experience

  • Experience with Posting Journal Entries

  • Earlier work involving Microsoft Excel

  • Practical knowledge of Process Adjustments

  • Quality experience with account reconciliation

  • Wide ranging experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

  • Well-founded grasp of Charge Entry

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
