Robert Half AP/AR Clerk in Honolulu, Hawaii
Description
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team in the retail industry, based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves performing the functions of an AP/AR Clerk, primarily focusing on maintaining and processing credit-related transactions and records. Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and promptly.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Utilize accounting software to input and track financial data.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
• Communicate effectively to identify and solve problems.
• Research and provide support documents for audit and payment discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
• Follow established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Prepare reports and summaries of financial data.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) software is mandatory
• Knowledge of IBM AS/400 system
• Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions efficiently
• Prior experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proven ability in Check Processing
• High speed and accuracy in Data Entry tasks
• Ability to spot and rectify Discrepancies in financial data
• Retail industry experience is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
