Description
Robert Half is in search of two detail-oriented Chart Retrieval Specialists to join our solution-driven healthcare client's team. In this critical role, you will travel to various provider offices to retrieve, sort, scan, and file patient charts accurately and efficiently. Your dedication will ensure all medical records are up-to-date and safeguarded. This Chart Retrieval Specialist role is a long-term contract role.
Responsibilities:
Travel to different provider offices to retrieve and manage patient medical records.
Scan, photocopy, and file patients' medical information.
Verify patient information for accuracy and completeness.
Aid with audits and inspections involving medical records.
Handle patient charts in compliance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring all privacy and security regulations are met.
Provide administrative support to physicians and medical staff as necessary.
Respond to requests for medical records from patients, medical professionals, and insurance companies.
Maintain logbooks or retrieval tracking systems.
Foster effective communication with providers to cater to their schedules and requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Additional education in Medical Records Management is a plus.
1 + years of healthcare experience or a healthcare-focused degree is strongly preferred
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Willingness to travel regularly.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a desirable advantage.
Solid understanding of HIPAA requirements.
