Description
The ideal candidate for this position can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. The ideal candidate for this position can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. What you get to do every day
Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Check deliverables of self and team to certify they meet client expectations
Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports
Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required
Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Capable of handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties
Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Requirements
Cert Public Accountant - CPA (US) required
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Foundational knowledge in public company reporting
Equity trading experience preferred
Proficiency in Investment Fund
Earlier work involving Equity Investment
General familiarity with equity accounting
Adeptness in Consolidated Financial Statements
CPA experience
