Robert Half Finance Assistant in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team in the Credit Union industry based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role involves handling and processing different types of cards and ATMs, ensuring accurate and efficient operations. We're looking for a Finance Assistant who will become an integral part of our finance department, responsible for improving existing financial procedures, enhancing detailed reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:

• Handling and processing requests related to cards from various branches and call centers.

• Performing all card-related functions including adjustments, fees, transfers, payments, fee reversals, replacement cards, credit limit changes, and requests to close credit card accounts.

• Monitoring and maintaining ATM balances, scheduling cash replenishments as required.

• Assisting with the logging of completed debit and credit card disputes.

• Ensuring card processing functions are accurately performed in line with established policies, procedures, regulations, and internal security measures.

• Maintaining and processing customer credit applications efficiently and accurately.

• Keeping accurate records of customer credit.

• Resolving customer inquiries related to card processing and maintenance.

• Auditing and reconciling bank records.

• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems to manage financial services and accounting functions.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Finance Assistant role or similar position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrable experience with Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience with Auditing procedures

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Familiarity with credit union industry preferred, but not required.
