Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in HONOLULU, Hawaii


Our client is on a quest to find their new Full Charge Bookkeeper. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, and payroll. The Full Charge Bookkeeper can also be responsible for the clerical staff. Key responsibilities

  • Prepare cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Mark budget transfers

  • Operate monthly accounting close

  • Other distinguished projects when necessary

  • Ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Knowledgeable with Accounts Receivable

  • Maintain sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments

  • Knowledgeable in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Report on business license and gross receipts

  • Enter Accounts Payable

  • Formulate monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Prepare cash flow projections, as needed

    Requirements - Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

    • Previous accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

    • 3+ years of related experience- Practical knowledge of analysis
  • Solid understanding of payroll for under 100 employees

  • General ledger experience required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ADP Online

  • General familiarity with Prepare Invoices

  • Deep understanding of General Ledger System

  • Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • General ledger experience preferred
