Robert Half International Human Resources (HR) Assistant in HONOLULU, Hawaii


Expand your career as a Human Resources Assistant with a growing company in the Food Manufacturing industry. This opportunity is best suited for someone who is a self-starter. The company has a strong reputation in the community and is looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to join their team. The candidate's duties will include handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks while providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This HR Assistant position has opened up in the Honolulu, Hawaii area on a long-term temporary-to-full-time basis.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Update employee database information

  • Manage a number of administrative duties

  • Assist in new employee on-boarding orientation planning

  • Use the internet to inquire into potential customers

  • Various Human Resources tasks to possibly include recruitment and benefits administration


  • At least 1+ years of HR related experience required

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration preferred

  • Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects

  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information

  • Experience with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

  • Approachable and appropriate behavior when interacting with personnel at all levels in a quickly changing environment

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Projects experience preferred
