Robert Half Property Accountant in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Property Accountant to join our team based in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will provide essential support to the financial operations of a hotel/resort property, managing key accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and budgeting. This role is also responsible for generating accurate financial statements and ensuring compliance with GAAP. If interested in this role, please call Noe Silva at 808.452.0264. Responsibilities:

• Oversee full cycle payable and receivable processes, including the preparation of analyses, payments, and reconciliations.

• Manage the fixed asset ledger and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, reconcile accounts, and identify and correct errors.

• Ensure compliance with local and state taxes, implement internal controls, and analyze procedures for improvement.

• Serve as a key point of contact for accounting matters, answer inquiries, and provide training to on-site personnel.

• Assist with budgeting, auditing, and ad-hoc projects as required.

• Process payroll efficiently and accurately.

• Oversee the management of customer credit applications and maintain accurate records.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.

• Employ your skills in property accounting, financial statement preparation, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable management, payroll processing, fixed assets management, and GAAP accounting.

Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or a related field

• Proficient in Property Accounting and Financial Statement preparation

• Demonstrated expertise in Budgeting and managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in processing payroll and handling Fixed Assets

• Skilled in performing Reconciliations and applying GAAP Accounting principles

• Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is preferred.
