Responsibilities:

• Assist the purchasing department with various administrative tasks and data entry functions.

• Foster and maintain relationships with vendors and manage purchase records.

• Strategize and implement cost-saving opportunities to support profitability goals.

• Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders efficiently and accurately.

• Order necessary supplies and raw materials for ongoing and upcoming projects.

• Coordinate vendor activities and execute other procurement tasks as required.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools for tasks such as budgeting, buying processes, and customer service.

• Handle customer inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed.

• Manage and maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Purchasing Specialist role or a similar position within the construction/contractor industry.

• Proficient in budgeting processes and buying processes.

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Experience with invoicing and financial documentation.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Strong decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices.

• Working understanding of construction/contractor industry's laws, rules and regulations.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• A business acumen partnered with a strategic mindset.
