Description
Our company is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The selected candidate will be involved in financial procedures including budgeting, tax planning, and deep financial analysis. Responsibilities:
Oversee routine and complex accounting activities, including managing the general ledger system and month-end close processes.
Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Facilitate financial audits by ensuring data accuracy.
Prepare elements of the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports for executive management.
Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
Analyze company financial reports with a detailed eye and make recommendations to improve profitability.
Organize tax records and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
Develop strategies to optimize accounting procedures without compromising compliance or accuracy.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or similar certification desired.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
Proficiency with accounting software and experience with software system implementation.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting as well as independently.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
