Candidates who can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff, will be preferred for this position. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

  • Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management

  • Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

  • Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

  • Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation

  • Able to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties

  • Assure client expectations are met by reviewing deliverables of self and team

  • Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation

  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis

  • Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies Requirements - Cert Public Accountant - CPA (US) required

  • High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

  • Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued

  • General familiarity with equity accounting

  • Solid understanding of Equity Transaction

  • Wide ranging experience with Equity Financing

  • Prior experience with Equity Swaps

  • Fund accounting experience

  • Hands-on experience with Equity Options

  • Earlier work involving Equity Investment

  • Solid understanding of equity trading

  • Skills in Private Equity Fund

  • Foundational knowledge in public company reporting

  • Investment Fund experience

  • Quality experience with equity derivatives

  • Experience with Equity Markets

  • Previous experience working with Private Equity Firm

  • Experience with CPA

  • Foundational knowledge in mutual funds

  • Well-founded grasp of Cash Flow Modeling

  • Proficiency in Public Accounting

  • Comprehension of Private Equity

  • Knowledge of Public Accounting Audit

  • General familiarity with Cash Flow Reports

  • Proven knowledge of Consolidated Financial Statements

  • Experience with Cash Flow Forecasts

  • Practical knowledge of Equity Capital

  • Proven knowledge of cash flow management

  • Practical knowledge of cash flow statements

  • Good understanding of Equity Loans

  • Hedge Fund experience required

  • Well-founded grasp of Real Estate Funds

  • Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
