Description
Robert Half is searching for a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience who is interested in working with an esteemed Security firm. Key parts of the role include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position requires top-notch analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This Senior Accountant role is located in Honolulu, Hawaii within the Security field. Your responsibilities in this role
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Requirements - Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
Proficiency in journal entries
Account analysis experience
Foundational knowledge in general ledger
Month end closings experience highly desired
Bank reconciliations experience
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
ERP system experience
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have excellent time management skills
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
