Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Honolulu, Hawaii
Description
We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst who will play a key role in our financial planning and control, providing crucial analytical support, forecasting, reporting and contributing to the strategic decision-making process of our operations. This role will require strong technical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to maintain positive relationships throughout the organization. Responsibilities:
• Prepare annual budget, forecast, and long-term capital plan
• Provide financial analysis support throughout the operations, focusing on labor and revenue forecasting and reporting
• Support month-end close processes, including budget to actual variance analyses
• Develop and maintain a capital expenditure plan and forecast for all assets
• Provide decision support analysis and serve as a point person for financial/accounting issues
• Work closely with management on pricing support for projects and reviewing actual results vs. proforma or planned results
• Analyze and review projects, existing business activities, and new business opportunities throughout the organization
• Support the development, preparation, and distribution of KPI Reporting and analysis
• Manage the preparation of the annual company and department level sales and expense budgets, and capital expenditure plans
• Research and explain variances to base years and budget assumptions
• Oversee the integration of each year's plan into the financial reporting system
• Analyze actual interim results versus expected plan and communicate variance drivers
• Refine plan model to adjust for reported variances to minimize future variances
• Collect input from leadership team to improve plan model to meet informational as well as accuracy expectations
• Assume responsibility for building and maintaining detailed long-range plans for the business based on input from senior management
• Create models based on forecast levels of operation with the ability for a multitude of cases and assumptions
• Compile, document, and explain assumptions
• Perform special duties and other projects as assigned.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analyst role
• Proficiency in the use of CRM software is required
• Demonstrated ability in using data mining techniques
• Experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary
• Must have knowledge and experience in using ERP Solutions
• Strong understanding of accounting functions is essential
• Experience in budget processes is required
• Must have experience in expense reporting
• A strong background in finance is necessary
• Must have strong analytical skills.
