Description
There is a terrific permanent position available for an experienced Staff Accountant at Robert Half. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will put your skills towards the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will review schedules for the reporting processes, take part in compliance, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position is very complex as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Requirements - Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Vow to meet business deadlines
Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
Foundational knowledge in journal entries
Proficiency in general ledger
HOA experience
Command of GAAP Accounting
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Skilled with ERP systems
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
