Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Restaurants & Catering industry located in Honolulu, Hawaii, for a Staff Accountant. The role involves managing accounts, analyzing workflow processes, and maintaining relationships with vendors. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures. Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Analyze workflow processes within the organization
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to credit terms and departmental procedures
• Process due invoices for payments in a thorough manner
• Compare purchases, prices, terms of payment, and other charges to maintain accuracy
• Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts
• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Journal Entries, and Enter Vendor Invoices for efficient execution of tasks
• Apply knowledge and experience in the Restaurant industry to improve financial processes.
Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with journal entries
• Skilled in entering vendor invoices
• Prior experience in the restaurant or catering industry
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficient with accounting software and MS Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
