Description
Robert Half has teamed up with a chemical manufacturer located in the Montgomery County area on their search for a Controller with proven knowledge of regulatory reporting and foreign exchange/consolidations. As the Controller, you will oversee internal controls, develop and implement revenue generating policies and procedures while building strong client relationships to maintain organization’s assets. In this role, you will liaise with external auditors during financial audits, manage/review accounts payable/receivable transactions, oversee general ledger activities, analyze variances, perform budgeting tasks, provide financial analysis, and advise management on needed updates per legislations. We are looking for a candidate who can drive cash generation, improve financial accounting systems, and provide management with the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
Major Responsibilities
· Review and manage accounting operations
· Oversee the payroll process
· Maintain internal control documentation
· Budgeting & Forecasting
· Oversee monthly/quarterly and year-end closing
· Prepare financial statements
· Manage technical accounting activities
· Account Reconciliations
· Provide financial leadership
· Assist with internal/external audit
· Comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements
The ideal Controller will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting OR Finance, advanced degree/certification preferred.
Other requirements for the Controller role include and are not limited to:
· 10+ years of experience, 5+ years supervisory experience
· Public Accounting experience a plus
· CPA preferred
· Strong Financial Reporting capabilities
· Internal controls experience
