Description

Our client, a rapidly growing Defined Contribution/Third Party Administration firm seeks several plan administrators and consultants to join their dynamic team! This is a career-oriented position where the successful individuals can provide outstanding client service while working in an environment promoting professional growth and skills enhancement.

This successful Third Party Administration (TPA) firm located in Eastern Montgomery County, PA with clients primarily in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York areas with many on the Eastern Coast of the U.S. The firm’s primary focus is on the custom design, implementation, consulting, administration, and compliance of qualified retirement plans (401k, profit sharing, defined benefit pension, cash balance, etc.). The firm handles the design, implementation and installation of new retirement and defined contribution plans as well as the servicing and conversion of existing plans. They do not sell any products or investments and therefore are completely independent. The business model of the firm is heavily focused on providing excellent service to our clients.

Primary Duties of the successful defined contribution specialist include:

All compliance and administration services for Defined Contribution Plans (401k, Profit Sharing, New Comparability Cross-Tested, Money Purchase Pension, 403b, etc.), including:

Asset and Trust reconciliations

Compliance and Nondiscrimination Testing (ADP/ACP, Coverage, Top-Heavy, 415 limits, etc)

Employee census data reconciliation

Contribution and allocation calculations (Employer Match, Safe Harbor, Top-Heavy Minimum, New Comparability and other Profit Sharing, etc.)

Preparation of Valuation and Compliance Reports

Governmental Filings (Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, 1099-R/1096/945, 5330, etc)

Correction of compliance violations (ADP/ACP corrections, VCP submissions, etc.)

Large Plan/Filer audit support

Consulting on IRS and ERISA compliance matters

Assist with plan conversions and special projects

Work closely with Colleagues, Plan Sponsors, Recordkeepers, and other Professionals to help Clients maintain and succeed with reaching the goals of their qualified retirement plans

Consult on Plan design options

Requirements

The ideal defined benefit administrator will possess the following qualifications:

  1. 4-year degree in finance, accounting or general business

  2. 3+ years of defined benefit analysis experience at a defined contribution company

  3. Strong interpersonal skills

  4. Attention to detail
