Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our team for and Industrial Supply Company in Hot Springs, AR. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Account Reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Process Accounts Payable transactions, including verifying invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and issuing payments in a timely manner.
Handle Accounts Receivable duties, such as generating invoices, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
Perform collections activities to ensure timely receipt of payments and manage customer accounts effectively.
Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing necessary reports and documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any accounting-related inquiries or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Requirements
Experience with high volume data entry
Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Proven knowledge of cash reconciliations
Practical knowledge of Excel Formulas
Well-founded grasp of month end closings
Foundational knowledge in Cash Collections
Cash applications experience
General familiarity with Excel Formulas
Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience with cash posting
Quality experience with Microsoft Excel
3+ years of relevant experience
