Seeking a full-time Staff Accountant position with a terrific Manufacturing company? Located in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In this role, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules and reporting processes. If you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets, you will be preferred for this role.
The salary range will be $65,000 - $75,000 DOE with FANTASTIC benefits and the ability to make a major difference in the short and long term!

Your responsibilities
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Requirements - Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Month end closings experience desired
Expertise in manufacturing
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
