Description
Robert Half is partnering with a growing North American services company seeking to hire a Project Accounting Manager who will oversee the Project Accounting activities across a couple of business units, helping to develop lasting processes improving how the project accounting team manages their workload. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Finance to drive change through the organization. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. How you will make an impact!
Oversee and improve the project accounting processes for all field service entities to include the entire project accounting lifecycle.
Be the Subject Matter Expert on all things project accounting (from billing to revenue reconciliation)
Oversee the preparation of all financial reports
Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance
Manage the composition of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
Direct, review, and prepare financial planning and budget management functions
To be considered you must have the following,
Degree in Accounting or Finance
10+ years of accounting experience in the project accounting space with an advanced knowledge of POC and WIP costing methods.
Must have experience in leading and managing staff – mix of Accounting Clerks and Accountants
Experience with accounting systems like Deltek
Comfortable working with a wide array of individuals at all levels.
Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the field of Accounting Management, preferably within the Architecture industry.
• Hold a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification.
• Proficiency in Corporate Accounting is required.
• Experience with Consolidated Financial Statements is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct Annual Internal and External Audits.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting is required.
• Must be familiar with IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Stds.
• Experience with Foreign Currency and US GAAP is essential.
• Proficiency in JDE EnterpriseOne and Tableau software.
• Demonstrated experience in Continuous Process Improvement within an accounting context.
• Must have the legal right to work in the location of the job.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
• High ethical standards and professionalism, given the sensitivity of financial information.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Detail-oriented and exceptional problem-solving skills.
