Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Houston, Texas
Description Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Manager that is focused, eager, and experienced for an immediate opening at a dynamic, progressive company. In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. The ideal candidate should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Your responsibilities in this role
Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Assemble various technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses
Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable Requirements - Solid understanding of general ledger
Foundational knowledge in budget forecasting
Proficiency in month end closings
Knowledge of financial reporting
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
CPA or MBA preferred
Proven technical skills
Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation
Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
