Description
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated Accounting Manager for our construction industry client. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy workplace environment and is well-versed in aspects of accounting for a mid to large-sized company.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Oversee and manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Manage the monthly and year-end close procedures including the preparation of financial statements and other reports.
Perform balance sheet reconciliation and review.
Manage all aspects of financial reporting and assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
Handle adherence to tax laws and regulatory compliance to properly reflect the financial position of the company.
Oversee the financial and accounting system and operational strategies including teaming with various departments to enhance and better deploy reports, procedures, and systems.
Collaborate with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Requirements
WHO WILL BE CONSIDERED
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance required.
Minimum of 7 years of work experience, ideally with some experience in a construction or project accounting setting.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency with accounting software, MS Excel, and other relevant tools.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and great problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
