Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Houston, Texas
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team located in Houston, Texas. Serving in a critical role within our organization, the successful candidate will oversee the processing of customer applications, maintain accurate customer records, and resolve customer inquiries. This role also involves the monitoring of customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the process of customer credit applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records
• Handle customer inquiries and provide timely solutions
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary
• Lead the execution of month-end close procedures
• Oversee the process of account reconciliation to ensure accuracy
• Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting strategies
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve set objectives
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed Requirements • Must hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
• A minimum of three years of experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proven experience with Month End Close and Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Budgeting and Forecasting is essential
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
