Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Houston, Texas
Description Robert Half seeks an enterprising, strong Accounting Manager for an immediate opening at a growing, dynamic company. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Regularly review and inspect balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Organize a variety of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Ensure close deadlines are met by encouraging and managing the accounting team performance during the closing process
Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook Requirements - 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
Experience with Budget allocations
Ad Hoc Financial Analysis experience preferred
Leases experience required
Intercompany Accounting experience
Proficiency in Fixed Asset Accounting
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Reliable technology and analytical abilities
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
