Description Robert Half client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts Payable Lead to join our finance team and contribute to our continued success. Position Overview:

As the Accounts Payable Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our accounts payable processes. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of accounts payable specialists, implementing best practices, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Your excellent communication skills will be vital in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance accounts payable processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline workflows.

Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolve payment-related issues, and negotiate favorable terms.

Implementation: Lead the implementation of new accounts payable software or tools, ensuring a smooth transition and training team members as needed.

Reporting: Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements in all accounts payable activities.

Communication: Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to resolve discrepancies and improve overall financial processes.

Problem-Solving: Identify and address payment discrepancies, disputes, and exceptions promptly and professionally.

Audit Support: Assist in audit preparations and respond to audit inquiries related to accounts payable.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, best practices, and relevant software/tools.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Detail-oriented and highly organized with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving change.

Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
