Robert Half Accounts Receivable Director in Houston, Texas
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Director based in Houston, Texas. This role falls within the industry of finance and accounting, requiring a high level of organization and meticulous attention to detail. The Accounts Receivable Director will be tasked with overseeing managers and teams of billing, cash applications, and collections, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, this role requires a strong background in process improvement and project implementation.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage teams handling billing, cash applications, and collections operations
• Supervise remote teams, ensuring efficiency and productivity
• Lead and implement process improvement projects to optimize accounts receivable operations
• Direct project implementation related to ERP systems
• Manage the accounts receivable function, ensuring compliance with GAAP Accounting principles
• Oversee auditing activities to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Conduct month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Develop and manage KPI reporting for accounts receivable activities
• Supervise and lead collections operations, both domestically and internationally. Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in AR and 5+ in Leadership
• Experience in Auditing is essential
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Proficient in Collections and Cash Applications
• Experience in leading Process Improvement Projects
• Proven track record in Project Implementation
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
• Strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles
• Proficient in KPI Reporting
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
