Description
Robert Half is recruiting for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our esteemed client in downtown Houston on a long-term contract basis. This strategic role comes with a diverse set of responsibilities that primarily involve invoice management, customer refunds, account adjustments, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage and resolve billing and invoicing issues and disputes.
Process customer refunds and account adjustments and resolve any client discrepancies.
Execute daily financial tasks such as bank reconciliations and the verification and recording of accounts receivable data.
Maintain and monitor assigned customer accounts and communicate effectively with customers.
Ability to make necessary adjustments to accounts and conduct monthly account reconciliations.
Identify and address any uncollectible accounts.
Actively collect on past due accounts and monitor progress.
Collaborate effectively with the sales team and senior management to expedite collection processes.
Assist with customer and sales tax audits.
Prepare monthly customer statements, reconcile assigned accounts, and review payment processes to identify improvements.
Complete other duties, tasks, and special projects as required.
Provide support to the accounting department as required.
Requirements
Required Skills:
Proven experience in Accounts Receivable.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
Familiar with bank reconciliations, account adjustments, and payment processing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
