Robert Half Business Analyst in Houston, Texas

Description We are in search of a Business Analyst to join our team based in Houston, Texas. This role is focused on enhancing our trading team's effectiveness through comprehensive data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. The successful candidate will play a central role in our operations by maintaining data entry, solving issues across various teams, and communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance the trading team's performance through diligent deal/order entry and maintenance

• Facilitate commercial and operational decision-making through the development and implementation of data analysis tools

• Communicate effectively with cross-functional management and support teams about trading and operational activities

• Ensure accurate and efficient data entry and analysis for all support teams

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in front, mid, and back-office with support teams

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for all support teams

• Interact and communicate effectively with third parties including customers, suppliers, and vendors

• Regularly refine and improve data analysis methods to meet the organization's evolving needs

• Streamline and simplify business processes to enhance operational efficiency

• Provide back-up support for other Analysts as needed Requirements • Possess a minimum of one year experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role

• Demonstrated proficiency in Data Entry

• Proven experience in Financial Analysis

• Familiarity or experience with Middle Office operations

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in using business intelligence tools, data analysis software, and data visualization tools

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred

• Familiarity with project management and process improvement methodologies

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
