Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk based in Houston, Texas. The role involves managing cash applications, daily cash deposits, and general ledger operations. This position will require daily interaction with the sales team to resolve any discrepancies and monitoring accounts receivable statements.
Responsibilities:
• Manage cash applications and reconcile daily cash deposits
• Handle lockbox, mail, and walk-in transactions with accuracy
• Liaise with the sales team to resolve short pays, disputes, and claims
• Ensure proper coding to the General Ledger
• Monitor Accounts Receivable statements and take appropriate action
• Handle cash posting and daily cash receipts efficiently
• Conduct cash reconciliations and prepare aging reports. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar
• Proficiency in Cash Applications and Cash Posting
• Experience with handling Daily Cash Receipts
• Skilled in Cash Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger operations
• Ability to produce and analyze Aging Reports
• Experience with Lock Box operations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
