Robert Half Cloud System Administrator in Houston, Texas
Description We are offering a unique role in the Oil & Gas - Explor & Prod industry for a Cloud System Administrator. This position will be based in Houston, Texas, and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. You will be part of our Infrastructure and Cloud Operations Team, contributing to the development of best practices and fostering a DevOps culture within the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement best practices for cloud services, with a focus on Azure cloud services and networking.
• Manage Windows Server Administration including Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, and DHCP.
• Oversee the management of Windows File & Print Servers.
• Utilize knowledge of Data Center technologies in managing Data Center operations.
• Assist in cloud migration efforts, ensuring a seamless transition.
• Work in collaboration with the team, contributing to the development of a positive DevOps culture.
• Utilize skills in Database, EO/IR systems, IBM, Linux Technologies, Microsoft, AB Testing, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, and Configuration Management.
• Work with Azure Active Directory, ensuring efficient and secure system administration.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions and strategies to enhance system performance and reliability. Requirements • Proficiency in Database management and administration
• Knowledge and experience in EO/IR systems
• Familiarity with IBM and Microsoft technologies
• Proficiency in Linux Technologies
• Experience with AB Testing
• Understanding of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
• Experience with Backup Technologies
• Knowledge of Computer Hardware
• Familiarity with Configuration Management
• Experience in the Oil & Gas - Explor & Prod industry
• Experience in Cloud System Administration or similar role
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as needed
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
