Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Controller positioned in Houston, Texas. The role involves ensuring the overall efficiency and integrity of our accounting function, overseeing the financial reporting process, leading the development of Controllers, and managing various accounting tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance with government regulations and implementing appropriate financial controls.
Responsibilities:
• Assure the overall integrity and efficiency of the company's accounting function.
• Ensure the appropriate financial controls are in place and in compliance with all government regulations.
• Oversee the financial reporting process, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements to assess the company's financial performance.
• Lead the development, management, and coordination of all Controllers, along with direct corporate leadership in Accounting/Controlling function.
• Manage and ensure compliant monthly, quarterly, and year-end close of the company's financial results.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and with local, statutory reporting requirements, and oversee all relevant tax provision calculations and compliance.
• Participate in and provide specific accounting and financial expertise with the Board of Directors’ Audit Committee meetings.
• Integrate with and provide direction and support of other key finance leadership team activities including, but not limited to, investor/bank relations, financial analysis, treasury, and merger & acquisition accounting.
• Serve as the key interface with other functional areas for accounting needs as well as parent company reporting/consolidation.
• Monitor key internal controls to ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures and overall compliance with financial reporting rules and regulations, and serve as the key coordination point for external auditors of financial data.

Requirements
• Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with a history of managing finance and accounting teams.
• Proficient in advanced financial strategies and analysis.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
