Description
A global internal audit & financial advisory business consulting firm is seeking Internal Audit & Financial Advisory Experienced Consultants to join our growing team in the Houston area. These Experienced Consultants learn from the best management team in an effort to develop an understanding of business processes and build technical skills in general risk areas. The Experienced Consultant conducts interviews, compiles and analyzes data, and documents findings. Through interaction with client and project team personnel, the Experienced Consultant develops professional relationships that contribute to exceptional client service. The ideal candidate should have the following:
Interest in internal audit processes and objectives
An understanding of core accounting processes, operations and financial frameworks
Understanding of commonly used International Professional Practices Framework, including COSO and PCAOB.
Knowledge of audit methodologies and developing key internal audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance.

Interested candidates must have:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, or Business Related Field)
1-2+ years working in audit, assurance or consulting, in public accounting and/or professional services firm
Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA are highly preferred (or candidate)
Travel: Must be able and willing to travel up to 25% (depending on the client)
Additional requirements:
Great communication and client facing skills
Must be very team oriented with a can do attitude
