Robert Half Financial Analyst in Houston, Texas

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Financial Analyst in Houston, Texas. The individual will assist the Financial Planning and Reporting Manager/Supervisor in providing timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting as well as completing quarterly/annual planning processes for the respective business unit. The role also involves assisting with project capital reporting and management, performing ad-hoc analysis and completing special projects, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial statements and investigate deviations and trends

• Participate in the month-end close and forecast/budget processes

• Prepare and present the monthly financial performance of the business unit

• Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel to facilitate the timely flow of information

• Coordinate, prepare, and review reports listing open project capital and manage the project capital closing process

• Drive continuous improvement in the group and implement efficient and effective procedures

• Correctly document all processes

• Assume other duties and responsibilities as required

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

Requirements

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Financial Analyst

• Proficient in financial modeling techniques and tools

• Strong knowledge of budget processes

• Experience in finance and financial reporting is required

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly strong in Excel

• Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
