Robert Half Financial Analyst in Houston, Texas

Description We are offering an engaging role within the manufacturing industry based in Houston, Texas. This role will be based in a hybrid workplace, requiring two days in the office. We are searching for a Financial Analyst to join our team and contribute to our financial operations and planning.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial operations daily to ensure compliance with company and departmental policies.

• Assist in the creation of various financial and business analyses for financial and general management.

• Support in the preparation and consolidation of monthly forecasts and annual plans for the Business Unit.

• Aid in reporting the financial performance of operations against operating plans and forecasts.

• Help in trending and analysis of the Book & Close challenge.

• Report information in a manner that facilitates action to enhance operating results.

• Assist in gathering bookings & opportunities from the sales team.

• Help in providing explanations for deviations.

• Assist in the calculation of absorption & burden rates.

• Support in the preparation of Capital plans and forecasts.

• Assist in the creation of financial models to support capital expenditure.

• Participate in capital spending reviews to follow-up for financial performance compared to assumptions included in the justification. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role or similar position

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions and Budget Processes

• Solid understanding of Capital Management principles and strategies

• Experience working collaboratively with Business Partners

• Practical experience in Budgeting and Forecasting

• Ability to analyze Profit and Loss statements and make recommendations based on findings

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
