Robert Half Financial Analyst/Manager in Houston, Texas
Description Cindy Bradley at Robert Half is actively recruiting for this growing Construction company located in WEST HOUSTON, Texas ! This Finance Manager will report to a Regional Mgr. In this role, you will be tasked with the analysis of financial data, maintenance of accurate records, and the implementation of financial strategies. You will also have a significant role in budgeting and forecasting, auditing, and utilizing various software and techniques for efficient operation.
Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly competent Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. You are likely a experienced finance detail oriented seeking to use your financial and strategic analysis skills in a role that has a significant impact on business decisions. • Performing financial/strategic analysis on factors affecting the business, including new project market analysis, profitability, return on assets, and inventory turnover. • Collaborating with representatives from each functional area (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, etc.) to develop and present cohesive business strategies. • Communicating problems and providing solutions to upper management. • Providing in-depth analyses and summaries of business decisions, including product line moves, component sourcing, and facilities rationalization. • Preparing and analyzing divisional profit and capital forecasts (including quarterly, annual, and five-year forecasts). • Managing internal reporting processes such as the accumulation and analysis of capital and overhead budgets, homebuilder management reports, maintaining gross margin backlog, monthly proforma updates, lot takedowns, and other critical indicator reports. • Publishing pricing and lot releases and providing updates to relevant departments. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required. Master's Degree is preferred • CPA designation is highly preferred. • Minimum of two years of finance or accounting experience with a public construction/homebuilder, entity in the real estate industry, or public accounting firm preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, JD Edwards/PeopleSoft, and SAP/Business Objects forecasting software is a plus. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, teamed with good interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally. • Excellent negotiation skills with the capability to influence others effectively. • Robust leadership skills like task delegation, setting objectives, and performance evaluation. • Possess sound judgment and high integrity to execute decisions with considerable corporate/financial impact. • Focused and detail-oriented with an eye on the bigger picture. Requirements • Extensive knowledge of data mining techniques • Familiarity with the software 'About Time' • Solid understanding of accounting functions • Experience in annual budget preparation and execution • Expertise in auditing and budget processes • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting • Capability to create accurate cash flow forecasts • Knowledge in budgeting and forecasting • Experience in cash forecasting • Understanding of profit and loss statements and related financial analysis
