Robert Half Financial Reporting Manager in Houston, Texas

Description A well-established oil field service company in West Houston is seeking a highly experienced Financial Reporting Manager.

Primary responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation and coordination of financial closings, preparing and consolidating financial reports and statements. You'll also be responsible for public company compliance reporting, assisting with monthly management packages and Board reports.

This role also involves researching accounting issues for compliance, coordinating with auditors, and ensuring that all accounting procedures comply with internal controls and audit requirements. The job holder will be expected to identify areas for improvement in financial accounting applications and operational procedures and supervise a Senior Accountant.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting, including SEC reporting experience

• Experience in the energy industry and multi-location manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of GAAP, Auditing Practices and Principles

• Experience with public company SEC filing/compliance requirements

• Experience with consolidation software (Hyperion or OneStream)

• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and data analysis. Experience with Workiva, XBRL, and a good understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley rules and regulations are also required for this role.

Compensation is up to 150K plus bonus and LTIP.

• Should have knowledge of Compliance procedures and SEC Reporting

• Must hold expertise in Technical Accounting practices

• Experience in preparing Consolidated Financial Statements is mandatory

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
