Technical Accounting Supervisor
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a critically thinking, detail-oriented, and experienced Technical Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Technical Accounting Supervisor will play a key role in internal and external financial reporting, SEC reporting, technical accounting, and other special projects. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with oil and gas accounting, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and oil reserve valuation.
How You Get To Contribute
Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, etc.).
Conduct technical accounting research and make recommendations on GAAP compliance for complex transactions.
Supervise monthly financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
Oversee revenue recognition, lease accounting, and oil reserve valuation following industry standards and regulations.
Maintain and develop financial reporting controls and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Assist in various ad-hoc financial analysis, financial systems and process improvements, and special projects.
Requirements What You Bring To The Table For Success:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA certification is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting
Robust knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and experience with XBRL tagging
Proficient background in oil and gas accounting including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and oil reserve valuation
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and enterprise financial systems
Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
