Description

Ashley Kirksey & her reputable Houston client is looking for an accomplished & organized Full Charge Bookkeeper. Applicants must be well versed in Microsoft Office 365 particularly Word and Excel and possess an excellent knowledge of current data processing systems. The ability to communicate in writing or speaking is a must; exceptional client relations are key to your success – our business is a “relationship” business. Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable process (No Payroll*)
• Manage AR process, including Issue invoices and statements to and collect from customers.
• Manage the general ledger, making all adjusting entries.
• Create monthly financial statements and related financial reports.
• Remit payroll taxes, sales taxes, use taxes and income taxes.
• Account for fixed assets
• Reconcile bank, credit card and petty cash accounts.
• Collect information, as needed, for the annual audit.
• Maintain a coherent system of accounts, with a supporting filing system.
• Monitor cash levels.
Requirements
Experience Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role
• 1+ year of supervisory experience
• Advanced accounting and bookkeeping software experience
• Any large ERP; Epicor: Eagle or Prophet 21 a PLUS*
• High proficiency Excel – formulas, PIVOTs, VLOOKUP, etc.
• Aptitude for business; detail oriented
• Must be comfortable meeting tight deadlines.
• Experience with creating financial statements and tax returns.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred / NR:
• Associate degree – accounting or related
• Certified Bookkeeper designation
• Epicor – Eagle or Prophet 21
