Robert Half Help Desk Analyst II in Houston, Texas

Description We are seeking a Help Desk Analyst II to join our team based in Houston, Texas. As a Help Desk Analyst II, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support both on-site and remotely to our clients, managing IT issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of their IT infrastructure. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in Microsoft and Fortinet technologies to diagnose, resolve, and escalate IT problems. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced technical support for Microsoft Windows desktops, servers, and Active Directory/EntraID

• Diagnose and resolve complex IT issues for a diverse client base

• Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls, switches, access points, and security solutions

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates and security patching on all types of devices – compute, storage, and network

• Manage ticket queue based on the priority of incident or request

• Document technical activities and solutions in a clear and concise manner

• Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers or vendors when necessary

• Maintain a strong understanding of emerging technologies and industry best practices

• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and client contacts to ensure successful issue resolution

• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients. Requirements • Proficient in Database management and operations

• Experienced in EO/IR systems

• Knowledgeable in Lotus Notes

• Familiarity with Computer Hardware

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Proven experience in a similar role

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training
