Robert Half Help Desk Analyst in Houston, Texas

Description We are seeking a Help Desk Analyst based in Houston, Texas. This role is crucial to our telecom provider team, and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The successful candidate will lend a hand in supporting our user base, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring optimal system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first line technical support to users facing issues with hardware, software, and networking.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Windows operating systems and Active Directory.

• Handle computer hardware configuration management and perform necessary upgrades or repairs.

• Assist in the support and maintenance of desktop hardware.

• Manage mobile devices within the organization, ensuring they are correctly configured and maintained.

• Provide deskside support to users, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.

• Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve complex IT issues.

• Document all technical inquiries, update existing documentation, and create new documentation as required.

• Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring all support requests are handled in a timely and professional manner.

• Stay updated with system information, changes, and updates. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Microsoft Windows.

• Experience in Active Directory management is necessary.

• Must possess knowledge of Computer Hardware and its operations.

• Familiarity with Configuration Management is required.

• Previous experience in Deskside Support is highly desirable.

• A thorough understanding of Desktop Hardware is essential.

• The candidate should be able to handle all support requests effectively and efficiently.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact with all levels of staff.

• The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

• An ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software and technologies.

• The candidate must have the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

• Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
