Robert Half HR Administrator Support in Houston, Texas
Description Robert Half is working with growing business to find a talented Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Major responsibilities
Manage all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team
Take part in interdepartmental meetings with other managers
Organize historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records
Monitor reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs
Grow the organization's human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
Establish management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Be responsible for exit interviews and procedures
Research and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings
Inform employees such that they follow all policies and procedures
Head up human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Study compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits
Create recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws Requirements - Exemplary ethics, integrity, and standards
PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred
Bachelor's degree in human resources or relevant field
5+ years in human resources
Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
Thorough when handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
A familiarity with the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations
1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
Extensive knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to view issues without bias
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Proficient with HR software and working knowledge of MS Office
