Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team, specializing in routing, switching, and Fortinet security appliances. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures, with a focus on routing protocols, switching technologies, and Fortinet firewall management. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our network environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure with a focus on routing, switching, and Fortinet security solutions.

• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, routers, and firewalls.

• Manage and optimize routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP for large-scale enterprise networks.

• Configure and maintain FortiGate firewalls, including VPNs, IPSec, SSL VPNs, and FortiAnalyzer integration.

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.

• Implement network security measures, including firewall policies, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).

• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure proper network design, integration, and operational support.

• Perform regular network assessments and implement improvements for scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Assist in disaster recovery planning and network optimization projects.

• Stay up to date with emerging networking technologies, tools, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).

• Extensive experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of Fortinet products, especially FortiGate firewalls.

• Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) and network security best practices.

• Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across various devices and platforms.

• Strong understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and network segmentation.

• Familiarity with network automation and scripting is a plus (Python, Ansible, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fortinet certification (e.g., NSE 4, NSE 5, or NSE 7).

• Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience in managing enterprise-scale network environments.
