Robert Half International Payroll Administrator in Houston, Texas


Are you a Payroll Administrator with experience in Sage 300/Timberline software? If so, Accountemps may have the position for you! Our client located in North Houston is looking to add a Payroll Administrator to their team on a Temporary to Full-time basis beginning immediately! The Payroll Administrator must have a minimum of 3 years of recent experience processing payroll in Sage 300/Timberline and will perform all functions necessary for the preparation and processing of employee payroll. The hours are full-time, Monday through Friday from 8-5 PM. Apply today for immediate consideration!

Responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator:

  • Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages

  • Offer assistance with internal and external audits related to payroll

  • Detail all payroll liabilities by establishing employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payment

  • Execute relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports

  • Collect and analyze information including resolving payroll discrepancies

  • Manage issues related to employee deductions and other liabilities, including reconciling

  • Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures

  • Protect confidential payroll and employee information

  • Proper payroll information maintenance by collecting, calculating, and entering data into Sage 300/Timberline

  • Track payroll record changes by entering updates in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers

  • Manage payroll information requests and questions


  • 3+ years of payroll experience required

  • Experience processing payroll in Sage300/ Timberline required

  • Timekeeping System experience

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
