Description
We are seeking a dynamic and diligent Payroll Specialist to join client's HR team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring employees are compensated accurately and on-time. They will also collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Input, verify, prepare, and process payroll data accurately and on time.
Handle benefits information and payroll deductions.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities.
Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to the supervisor.
Coordinate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
Keep abreast with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll records and information.
Stay updated with changes in tax laws that affect payroll processing.
Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters.
Requirements
Proven experience as a payroll specialist or payroll clerk.
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases.
Trustworthy with an attention to confidentiality and integrity.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
