Robert Half PC Technician in HOUSTON, Texas
Description Robert Half is looking for PC Technician candidates who have the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues. If you are self-motivated, a problem solver, and interested in a positive, dynamic environment, you could thrive in this role. The long-term contract / temporary to hire PC Technician will work in the Houston, Texas, area.
Your responsibilities in this role
Provide support for functionality testing and end users
Handle take down, packaging, transportation and setup/installation on site
Oversee data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix
Own imaging and preparation of new computers
Manage inventory of equipment, including collaborating on potential purchases
Ensure that ticket submitters receive frequent and effective communication
Install printers, troubleshoot problems and make repairs
Break down, box and ship old equipment
Document all daily data communication transactions, issues and solutions or installations
Diagnose, restore, rebuild, and refurbish computer hardware, such as PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and additional IT equipment
Comply with company quality standards to ensure sound electronic data records
Manage and carry out a variety of technology implementation projects
Communicate with suitable vendors to coordinate needed repairs Requirements - Excellent attention to detail
Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
1 - 3 years of experience supporting hardware and software for PC and Mac, and knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN
Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
Knowledgeable of network design and implementation strategies
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
A CompTIA A+ certification is a requisite for the position
Solid understanding of Audio Visual
Strong familiarity with Stage Lighting
Audio Video experience required
Crestron experience preferred
