Description

We are looking for a PC Technician with a strong background in break/fix repair to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues with desktop and laptop computers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing a variety of PC-related problems, ranging from hardware failures to software glitches. Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues with desktop and laptop computers.

  • Perform break/fix maintenance on PC systems, including component replacement and system upgrades.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, drivers, and software applications.

  • Perform hardware and software installations, configurations, and upgrades as needed.

  • Document all troubleshooting steps, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly.

  • Communicate with end-users to gather information about technical issues and provide timely updates on resolution progress.

  • Collaborate with other members of the IT team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to IT support and service delivery.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PC Technician with a focus on break/fix repair.

  • Strong technical knowledge of desktop and laptop computer hardware components.

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing hardware issues such as motherboard failures, hard drive failures, and memory issues.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving software issues on Windows and macOS platforms.

  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software utilities for hardware testing and troubleshooting.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A+ certification or equivalent (preferred).

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) is a plus.
