Description

Our client is looking to add a Plant Controller to their team that will take ownership over two Plant locations! This is a growing company working with a hands on CFO who is excited to mentor someone to grow into more of a Corporate Controller capacity.

Plant Controller Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage all aspects of costing and financial accounting for our manufacturing plant, ensuring accurate reporting, analysis, and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Batch Processing Excellence: Oversee batch processing operations, optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness to ensure high-quality production.

  • Supervision and Operations Management: Lead and mentor a team of accounting and finance professionals, providing guidance, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative environment.

  • Travel and Collaboration: Ability to travel up to 25% domestically to collaborate with other company sites and attend meetings, as necessary.

  • Process and Systems Implementation: Utilize your experience to contribute to the implementation of new processes, systems, and technologies, enhancing operational effectiveness.

    Requirements

Plant Controller Responsibilities:

  • 5+ Years Manufacturing Accounting Experience: A solid background in manufacturing accounting, with a deep understanding of cost analysis, financial reporting, and industry-specific challenges.

  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience, demonstrating strong leadership and team-building skills.

  • Domestic Travel: Flexibility to travel approximately 25% of the time for company-related activities.

  • Process and Systems Knowledge: Experience with process improvement and systems implementation is a plus, showing your ability to drive operational enhancements.

  • CPA or CMA Certification: Preferred, but not required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance: A relevant degree that provides a strong foundation in accounting principles.
