Robert Half International Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in Houston, Texas

Description This position requires an experienced Project Manager/ Sr. Consultant. You could join our local client's existing team onsite as their Senior Project Manager in the Houston, Texas area! The main part of this role is responsibility for managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project. We want a candidate who can manage key projects as part of our client's strategic business plan. Your responsibilities

  • Engages with Product Owner/Product Manager to double check that the product vision and high-level business objectives are transparent and obtainable

  • Provides project outlines with fitting ticket workflows and boards

  • Acquires information from technical leads, QA leads and business analysts into counsel

  • Provide assistance to facilitate creation and maintenance of the Project Roadmap with the Product Owner/Product Manager

  • Aids to classify, manage, and identify risk for functional improvement requests

  • Contributes as Scrum Master for the developers on the team - clearing obstacles, ensuring the team is working effectively, and leading scrum ceremonies

  • Colludes and communicates with stakeholders, developers, technical team members and designers

  • Work in close collaboration with the Business Analyst, QA Manager, Product Specialist, and Product Owner/Product Manager

  • Secure that the functional requirements are achievable, tracked, and met

  • Plots and conducts the sprint planning and grooming meetings and tracks ticket assignments

  • Devises schedules and milestones with inputs from all other teams assigned to that product, manages project scope and timelines

  • Initiates project planning

  • Eventuates and schedules projects - as per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner

  • Gives a hand to manage dependencies among cross-product teams

  • Prepares the RACI matrix for projects in a product line

  • Directs deployment scheduling in coordination with tech lead, Dev Ops, and Product Owner- Co-operates with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects

  • Handles the daily stand-ups, asserting they are timely, focused and brief

  • Encourage the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products

  • Supplies detailed reporting to management on risk assessments, milestone completion, and project status Requirements - Project management experience

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

    • Applicants should have proficiency using commonly accepted scheduling and project management tools
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

    • This position requires experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs

  • Background in project management, operations, and supervisory leadership

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Project Management experience

  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
