Description
Robert Half is seeking a Property Accountant for our Commercial Real Estate client near downtown Houston! The Property Accountant should have strong proficiency in Yardi, as well as experience in accounting and property management. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organization with great tenure and have direct mentorship by the company Controller!
Key responsibilities
Assemble monthly, quarterly and year end financial statements/reporting packages
Maintain payables and receivables
Manage the accruals for assigned properties
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end close
Bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
Requirements
Strong understanding of accruals is a must
Yardi software experience is required
Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
Experience in accounting, real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or would substitute years of experience in real estate
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
