Job Description: Contract/Contract-to-Hire Receptionist

Location: Downtown / Galleria Houston Area

Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Receptionist to support our client in the Downtown/Galleria Houston area. This position is initially offered as a contract role, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position based on performance and business needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, be proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs), and possess strong multitasking abilities. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred due to our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, providing a warm and professional welcome.

  • Answer and direct incoming calls, taking accurate messages and relaying them promptly to the appropriate team members.

  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring it represents our company's professional image.

  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and conference room bookings.

  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.

  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations.

  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as recording expenses and maintaining financial records.

  • Provide general support to other team members as needed.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Professional demeanor, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a customer-oriented approach.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
